You park for a few hours and come back to a steering wheel too hot to hold and a dashboard that has started to fade. The sun through the windshield does that daily, not just in summer.

This shade goes up against the glass before you lock the car and comes down when you get back in. It folds down small enough to keep behind a seat.

Single-layer aluminum foil. Blocks direct sun on the windshield and cuts down on heat buildup against the glass.

Two sizes. 130 x 70 cm and 140 x 76 cm, sized for most front windshields.

Suction cup mounted. Two eyelets at the top take suction cups; four are included, two of them spare.

Folds flat. Comes down to a compact fold for storage, with an elastic band to keep it bundled when not in use.

Before you order. Check your windshield against the two available sizes before ordering. This is a single flat panel for the front windshield only, not a set for side windows. It will show fold creases out of the packaging; this does not affect use. Size can vary by 1-3 cm from the stated dimensions due to measuring method.

In the box.

  • Sun shade x 1
  • Suction cups x 4 (2 spare)
  • Eyelet fittings x 2

Questions

How do I put it up?
Push a suction cup into each eyelet with the suction side facing the front. Unfold the shade against the windshield and press the suction cups onto the glass, squeezing out the air as you go.

The suction cups won't hold, why?
Wipe the glass clean of dust first. A slightly damp suction cup grips better than a dry one.

How do I clean it?
Wipe with a cloth. Do not use alcohol-based cleaners and do not bleach it.

Will the fold lines go away?
The creases from folding do not fully disappear, but they do not affect how the shade blocks sun once it is up.

Take it down and fold it along its creases when you park; the elastic band keeps it bundled behind a seat or in a door pocket.
